SARAH LIZ LOTHIAN IS A MIXED MEDIA ARTIST BASED in MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN.

Her work is rooted in the belief that humans are interconnected beings, connected to both all living things and the world we inhabit. She studies patterns that emerge between micro and macro realms, observing how forms repeat and relate across different scales. While her practice is grounded in printmaking, her work comes alive through woven structures and activated spaces, inviting participants to discover relationships and explore the intricate patterns of life.

Sarah Liz received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in May of 2025. She concentrated her Studio Arts degree in Printmaking & Book Arts and Painting & Drawing, along with a certificate in Community Arts. For the past year, she has been an emerging artist-in-residence at Milwaukee’s community print shop, Anchor Press, Paper & Print, alongside her co-resident, Ellie Hogan.

Recently, Sarah has exhibited work in Flight Paths and Footpaths at Gallery 224 and the 2nd Annual Member Exhibition at The House of RAD Gallery. Her work is also included in UWM’s permanent art collection. Sarah has been a member of The House of RAD since September 2025 and currently shares a studio with three other artists as part of a collective called Union Print. Through the collective, she engages with the community through tabling and live screenprinting at events. Sarah looks forward to continuing her work with Union Print, The House of RAD, and AP3 in the years ahead, while finding new ways to connect with and contribute to Milwaukee’s creative community.
